BEHIND THE BRAND

Hi, I'm Krissy, Jack's Aunt and the creator of Jack's Knits. And this is my Mom, Jack's Grandma, Karman. My mom taught me to knit and would often have to help 'fix' my projects by re-knitting them. When Jack was born, I was motivated to improve my knitting skills and create some fun handmade items for my nephew. I purchased the book Knit a Monster Nursery authored by Rebecca Danger and got to work creating a monster blanket for Jack. When Jack was diagnosed with Leukemia, knitting became an outlet for me. While trying to find a way to honour Jack's life I again have turned back to knitting. I never had any aspirations to profit from my creations, however, the realization that I could give back to the Hospital and help other families battling childhood cancer has given me a reason to launch this endeavour. Of course, my Mom, agreed to volunteer her skills to knit items as well for Jack's Knits.

 

We are proud to donate 100% of the profits from Jack's Knits to the Wish❤Heart Fund supporting McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.
